The pale grey-beige glaze is finely speckled with warm brown, while the interior is finished in a much darker glaze. Around the body runs a band of impressed circular decoration, giving the pot a little more individuality without making it overly decorative.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAt approximately \u003c\/span\u003e15.5 cm wide × 14 cm high\u003cspan\u003e, this is a compact casserole, useful for smaller quantities, side dishes or serving. It has less visual complexity than some of the larger studio pieces we have looked at, but that is part of its appeal: straightforward, well-made and easy to use.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eCooking and serving food from a hand-thrown casserole makes the whole experience feel a little more special, even when the piece itself is quite modest.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe base carries the impressed \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003eGERALDINE\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e mark.
